Real Talk With Sean
Real conversations about search, AI & modern marketing
It’s a space for honest conversations about search, marketing, work, and the stuff that doesn’t always make it into conference decks or LinkedIn posts. Just thoughtful chats with people who’ve actually been in the trenches and have something meaningful to share
.
Some episodes are tactical. Others are reflective. Most sit somewhere in between. The common thread is curiosity, experience, and a willingness to talk openly about what’s really going on in our industry.

What the show is about
Real Talk With Sean is a panel-based show that brings together experienced voices from across search and digital marketing to have open, honest conversations about what’s really changing in the industry. Rather than focusing on step-by-step “how-to” advice or surface-level trends, the discussions explore how search is evolving, how people are adapting, and what the rise of AI means for the way we work, think, and create. Conversations often touch on leadership in practice, career growth, mistakes, burnout, and learning on the job — alongside why context, experience, and judgement still matter in a world increasingly shaped by automation. Sometimes we zoom out and look at the bigger picture; other times we get very specific. The aim isn’t to hand out neat answers, but to create space for better thinking and more honest reflection.

Guests & conversations

I’m joined by people from across SEO, digital marketing, and product, each bringing their own perspective, background, and way of thinking. Guests have included Daniel Foley Carter, Gus Pelogia, Mordy Oberstein, Jes Scholz, Andrew Holland, Yordan Dimitrov, Nikki Halliwell, Mark Williams-Cook, and Garrett Sussman, ensuring a wide mix of experiences, viewpoints, and opinions. Each conversation is shaped by the guest, with no rigid format — and that’s very much intentional.

Who it’s for

Real Talk With Sean is for people who want more than quick tips and recycled advice — from SEOs and marketers trying to keep up with real change, to those leading teams or growing into leadership roles, anyone feeling the pressure of AI, algorithms, and constant shifts, and curious minds who enjoy thinking out loud and learning in public.
